The Mersey School of Radiology (MSR) was founded in September 2002 as a joint initiative between the Mersey Deanery and the
University of Liverpool. It was one of the first, if not the first, deanery schools of Radiology in the country.
The purpose of the MSR is to plan and deliver a course of study for specialist registrars and specialist trainees in preparation for the
examinations of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). It offers educational advice in the workplace and is often called upon to
provide guidance and direction in training matters. The main aim of the school is to produce the best radiologists possible with the
resources available. There are presently 54 full time training numbers and 5 less than full-time trainee numbers in Mersey who rotate
through 11 hospitals.

Disclaimer:
The Mersey School of Radiology Website is still currently a work in progress, with continuous updates
and modifications to the website.
We are currently trialling a prototype version of the website. As such, some links will present as dead
links and there maybe some design and formatting errors. However, all the resources which are
accessible in its current form are up to date and accurate, apart from a few pictures!
We thank you for your patience as we continue to streamline and develop the MSR website.
Sincerely, the MSR Web Team
